Life would be boring if everything went along smoothly and things were the same every day. We wouldn’t be learning either. It is through our challenges, problems, and obstacles and how we respond to them that we become the best entrepreneurs we can be.
That doesn’t mean that finding our way through problems will be easy, but the following steps can guide you in in moving toward resolution more effectively.
What is the Problem – Really?
As a member of the human race, you are probably pretty good at making up stories in your mind. Could the problem you are facing be coming from a limiting misbelief, unverified information, or a misleading perspective? Ask yourself if it is absolutely true, and then clarify what the real challenge is.
Should You Resolve It?
There are three basic ways to move through a challenge. Ask yourself if this issue is something you should resolve, live with, or let go of.
What Resources Do You Have?
Take some time to explore the internal and external resources available to you. There might be someone you know who has successfully navigated this type of challenge. You may need resources for learning or want to brainstorm ideas with a mentor, coach, or friend. And, you may find that your greatest resources are within you when you listen to your gut and trust your intuition.
What Is Your Intention?
Set an intention for your path through the challenge. Include both what you intend to do and how you want to be through the process.
What Is Your Plan?
Create a plan and action steps that will help you resolve the challenge before you. Make your action steps small so that you can build a pattern of success. And then, get moving…

Very practical steps and I will definitely try them out whenever I am stuck next, as problem solving is the most sought after skill in the professional arena. One who knows how to do it, climbs up the ladder to professional success. But most of us are at loss.
So true what you’ve written here. The first question we always have to ask ourselves when we face a problem or challenge is “Is it true?” Oftentimes, it’s not – it’s based on an old, outdated story or misbelief we have that holds us back. Thanks for sharing this information and great finding you through the UBC!
Wow why didn’ t I think of this. This will really help someone that is struggling with a problem they are facing. Thank you for sharing. I will make sure that I stop to read this anytime I am facing an issue I think is overwhelming.
