You probably want to attract new clients like honey does bees, Right?
Why is it that we know what we do, are clear about the benefits to our clients, and still find ourselves staring at a blank page not knowing what to write in our marketing content? Here are some ideas that will help you find your “Buzz” words:
1. If you have been in business and have testimonials or compliments from your clients they can be a great resource. Gather them together in one document and add anything you commonly hear verbally, too. Go through and highlight the words that are descriptive, demonstrate benefits received, or stand out. These words represent what is meaningful to your existing clients and will be meaningful to potential clients as well.
2. Quickly! Say three words or phrases that describe your business. Don’t think. Just do it.
3. Ask your clients to describe your business or the benefits they receive in three words.
4. Set aside some uninterrupted time to free form write at least two pages about your business. When you are done, go through what you wrote and highlight the most dynamic and descriptive words.
Happy buzzing…….

Hi Linda,
You’ve written a fantastic list of strategies for identifying buzz words. It’s also great for businesses to compare what they believe versus what their clients are saying about them. Of course, the clients need to feel comfortable so they are open and honest.
