It is important to have a clear picture of where you are at in your business and which areas need more focus. Many business assessment questionnaires are pages long and require an investment of time to complete. This simple and quick evaluation tool is the one my business clients use weekly and forward to me before their sessions.
Try it out and let me know what you think.
Here it is:
Rate each of the following areas on a scale of 1-10 (1=extremely low and 10=wonderful)
( ) Overall level of satisfaction with your business
( ) Client attraction/Marketing
( ) Positive feedback from clients
( ) Physical space
( ) Confidence
( ) Level at which you are enjoying or excited about your work
( ) Systems/Management
( ) Learning/Education
( ) Progress on priority projects
( ) Support systems
( ) Effective time utilization
( ) Personal self-care and work/life balance
( ) Level at which your business is meeting your financial needs

[…] The One Minute Business Assessment […]
Good info. Quick and easy to digest.
Short & sweet is good Linda. This provides food for thought to get the juices flowing. I imagine you delve into greater detail once your clients complete & return to you.
Thanks. ~Debra
Sure do. It’s a great barometer to work from.
A savvy business tool that will save time. Thank you Linda.
great simple assessment to take! Thank you for sharing and offering a free consultation. I will have to take you up on this soon! 🙂 thank you again for sharing!
I will look forward to hearing from you.
I love simple tools – it’s the simple things that make the most difference!
My husband and I work together from home, and I can see where this would be a valuable experience to check in with each other and keep the lines of communication open in a non-threatening or non-confrontational way.
Yes. I encourage couples who work together to set up weekly business meetings and this would be a great way to start. It would be interesting to see if you rate things differently…
Awesome post! I love how you break it down into separate aspects of your business. This is similar to the Snap Shot/Assessment we are doing in the Biztopia Challenge, except I also asked people to rate their satisfaction on things like spending time with family and friends, hobbies (do people have hubbies when they’re running a small business?), exercise, and spiritual pursuits.
It’s so important to review where you are in your business. Thanks for the reminder!
I have a separate tool for personal lives that I use for both life and business coaching clients. It is all part of who we are.
